Word on the Street: Verona Public Library 5K Run/Walk

Get out your running shoes for "Word on the Street", the Verona Public Library?s 5K run/walk on Saturday, May 21. Register now for Verona's newest run/walk event. The 5K run/walk will begin at 8 a.m., and a kids? 1/4-mile or 1/2-mile run begins at 9:15 a.m. The course will begin and end at the Verona Public Library, and goes through residential streets and along the park road in scenic Badger Prairie Park. Running-related quotes along the course will keep runners inspired and entertained. The Verona Fire Department and Fitch-Rona EMS will host a water station at the firehouse. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome at this family-friendly event. Register online at veronapubliclibrary.org. Early registration for the 5K run/walk is $33 through May 18. Registrations May 19 through race day are $40. Race t-shirts can only be guaranteed for registrations prior to May 5th. Registration for the kids' run is $11. All proceeds from Word on the Street will go to the Verona Public Library Endowment Fund.
