About Us

The Verona Wisconsin Lions Club Foundation, Inc. is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Verona Lions Club, which has served the local community since 1987. As a non-profit foundation, it is the primary entity authorized to raise and distribute funds for the club's various humanitarian projects.

Core Mission and Impact
The foundation's mission is to meet humanitarian needs through voluntary services and community involvement. A key policy of the foundation is that 100% of all funds raised are used directly for community service, with no funds allocated for administrative purposes

Key Community Programs
The foundation supports several recurring local initiatives:
• Vision Services: Provides free vision screenings for children at preschools and events like the "Kids Expo" and "National Night Out". They also cover the cost of eye exams and glasses for students in the Verona Area School District.
• Stuff the Bus: An annual drive held in late July and August to collect new school supplies for local students.
• Saturday with Santa: A free community event held on the first Saturday of December where children can visit Santa and receive a small gift. Face painting and balloon artist are also offered at this event.
• Food Drives: Conducts drives at Miller & Sons Supermarket to benefit the Badger Prairie Needs Network.
• Park and Infrastructure: Adopted Tower Park, where they have installed benches, a picnic table, and a "little library".
