Assistant Executive Director

The Assistant Executive Director is responsible for providing professional and quality person centered care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of Dementia to promote their highest well-being. The Assistant Executive Director is also responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations at all times.

Administrative and Operations Management

  • Ensures compliance with state community based residential facility regulations and Azura policies

Care Planning Assessment and Implementation

  • Monitor the health and emotional conditions of each resident
  • Work with nursing staff and aides to ensure resident medical needs are met including med passing, proper hydration and toileting, bathing, and laundry
  • Perform assessment of new residents; admit and discharge residents according to admissions criteria
  • Complete individual care plans for each resident with interdisciplinary team and ensure service delivery according to individual residents’ needs

Personnel Management

  • Maintain master staffing schedule and find replacements for staff call-in’s
  • Lead by example, encourage teamwork, and provide coaching and supervision to employees. Perform disciplinary discussions with staff as needed
  • Ensure the health and safety of residents with regular training, drills and equipment reviews
  • Work with housekeeping staff to manage the appearance, cleanliness and environment of the building
  • Coordinate and perform ongoing training of staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor/associate degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in assisted living or long-term care
  • Flexibility with scheduling- full time day shift, may include night and weekend fill ins
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
