Description
Colorful and vibrant dresses made for the Little Dresses for Africa project will be on display at the Verona Public Library from October 30 through November 26. Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 to send relief to the children of Africa. The dresses, made from a simple pattern using embellished pillow cases, are given freely to girls and young women in areas struggling with poverty and disease to remind them that they are beautiful and valuable. Oakwood Village residents, employees, family, friends, and volunteers have made more than 240 little dresses. This exhibit is a sampling of their work.
