Learn how meditation and modern Buddhism can give you the power to achieve lasting happiness. On Wednesday, May 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Verona Public Library, Gen Kelsang Gomlam, resident teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Madison and modern Buddhist nun, will guide a meditation and give a short talk to give us a taste of what it is like to “choose happiness”. Gen Gomlam will discuss how everyone has the capacity to tap into an endless supply of inner peace and happiness, and how modern Buddhism presents the meditations and the techniques to train the mind to achieve this. This presentation is free and open to the public. To register, or for information, visit www.veronapubliclibrary.org, or call 608-845-7180. The Verona Public Library is located at 500 Silent Street.
