Take a guided walk through Badger Prairie Park with Dane County Parks Botanist/Naturalist Lars Higdon. Learn about the importance of natural areas in our urban landscape and identify fall blooming prairie plants, including those that are beneficial to migrating monarch butterflies and other pollinators. Registration is required and limited to 12 participants. This program is presented in relation to the traveling exhibit, On the Trail of the Monarch Butterfly, at the Verona Public Library August 19 through September 29, 2019. The exhibit and this presentation are sponsored by the Verona Public Library Endowment. This program is free and open to the public..
