The Verona Area Chamber of Commerce is happy to recognize our Ambassador of the Month, DJ Premo! DJ joined us just a few years ago, but quickly became a familiar face at all of our events! We had a few questions for DJ, see the interview below.

What do you do for work?
I am a Business Banking Officer for Park Bank
What are your interests and hobbies?
I have a huge passion in life for sports. Whether its watching football or basketball, playing intramural sports or coaching my son in his various sports. I always find a way to have sports in my life in my free time. I am also developing a love for traveling to new places and have a list of places I want to go over my lifetime.
What is your favorite memory of Verona?
I moved to Verona about three years ago. My wife went to high school here, so it was a place we were wanting to raise our kids. Getting that accepted offer was an amazing day!
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I would love to work in sports media. The idea of talking about and analyzing games and players is something I have always dreamed of doing
What profession would you not like to do?
I could not be a teacher. I do not have the patience and skill that it takes to do that profession. It takes a special person to be a good teacher.
What made you want to become a VACC Ambassador?
I live and work in Verona and I wanted to make sure I was as involved in the community as possible. What better way to do that than join the VACC ambassador team?
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering ambassadorship with the Verona Chamber, what would it be?
You need to be willing to put yourself out there and be open to the idea of being uncomfortable when getting to know people. The more you do it the easier it gets and the more connections you make.
